The team traveled to the prestigious Grand Valley State University for the Lakers Challenge, where they showcased their hard work and dedication on the track.

The star of the day was junior Natalie Brown, who made a spectacular return to competition after taking a season off. In her very first meet of the season, Brown not only participated but also shone by placing sixth in the high jump. She soared to a height of 4 feet 8 inches and earned herself a shiny medal to take home. Brown previously competed as a freshman before her break, proving that her passion for track hasn’t wavered a bit!

Not to be outdone, teammate Melodie Hulinek also made her mark during the meet, finishing 12th in the fiercely contested 200-meter dash, clocking in at 28.58 seconds. The energy was palpable as both girls showed just how far they’ve come, painting a bright picture for the season ahead.

    The team of Tessa Rutherford, Natalie Brown, Lauren Pulido-Huber, and Melodie Hulinek placed 10th with a time of 8:15.92.
  • 800 Meter Run:
    Tessa Rutherford finished 22nd with a time of 2:57.52 while Natalie Brown came in 23rd at 2:58.10.
  • Long Jump Results:
    Cassidy Brown landed in 25th place with a jump of 13 feet 4 inches, Hulinek in 30th at 13 feet 1 inch, and LilyAnne Artman followed closely in 31st with 13 feet.

In addition, various athletes competed in events like the 60-meter dash, 400-meter run, and others, racking up some notable placements.
