The Lakers wasted no time asserting their dominance on the field. Senior midfielder Ashleigh Rothe kicked off the scoring spree, netting her 29th goal of the season right from the start. Junior attacker Gracie Bancroft soon added to the tally, quickly following up with her 16th goal after forcing a turnover, and then the pair fired up the crowd by orchestrating a sequence of goals from freshman midfielder Kendra Swope and senior attacker Zoe Ziegler, both scoring within a minute’s time.
